The Egg Cafe and Eatery

I eat here regularly. I love the whole Benedict section of their menu. Get the loaded or jalapeno grits! They use Lucky Goat coffee. I love sitting at the bar. I always end up having great conversations with the other bar patrons.

Expect pretty good food and a pleasant atmosphere. They were busy when we arrived, but it didn't take them long to have us seated and ready to order. The food is solid, but not what I would call stellar. The service was excellent, no fuss, and got the job done. I'd be willing to try some other dishes to see if I like them better than what I got on my first visit. As my friend described it, a solid B, which is fine for a casual meal.

We had a great experience on a Sunday morning. My boyfriend wanted a mimosa, so we went here! They have a very expansive menu so it took a while to order but our waitress was patient and answered all of our questions. They have plenty of options as well as specials, which were different quiches that day. We both got potato skillets which were good. The chicken that was in my boyfriends was unseasoned though, which would have been a total downer if he didn't have bacon in it as well. The only other downside was that after paying we didn't see anyone for a long time so it took forever to get a to-go cup. We will be back though for sure!
